Brighton vs Man United Live: Follow Live – Manchester United who is potentially out of contention for a top 4 finish will try their very best to finish the campaign on a high note as they take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, May 7, 2022. The Red Devils will be full of confidence after their 3-0 exploits against Brentford last week. Follow BHA vs MUN Live and Premier League Live Updates

Brighton and Hove Albion is clashing with Manchester United beginning on 7 May 2022 at 16:30 UTC at American Express Community Stadium arena, Falmer city, England.

The stakes might not be high but this end-of-season encounter is not completely meaningless. Rather than challenging for the title or pushing for a Champions League spot Manchester United still need points to make sure of a Europa League place and avoid the Europa Conference. Brighton – ninth but only four points above Southampton in 15th – are seeking a highest top flight finish since they came 13th in the old First Division in 1982. To inch closer to their goals both must improve on recent form with Brighton having failed to win at home in their last eight and United losing their past four away matches in the Premier League. Cristiano Ronaldo also needs two goals to reach 700 in club football. Stephen Hollis

Brighton & Hove Albion Team News

Brighton head into the game as a confident team after having thrashed Wolves 3-0 last weekend. However, the hosts face quite a few injury scares. Enock Mwepu was substituted in the previous game with a groin injury. Jakub Moder has been ruled out of the game while Jeremy Sarmiento is recovering from his hamstring injury.

It is highly unlikely that Graham Potter will field a highly attacking team against the Red Devils. With Leandro Trossard in great form and Pascal Gross making a returning to the side, this game also provides a perfect opportunity for former United striker Danny Welbeck to start as the lone striker of the team.

Manchester United Team News

Manchester United too will be heading into the team after their brilliant display of 3-0 against Brentford last week. Though Harry Maguire missed the last couple of games, he might make it to the team after recent developments. Jadon Sancho could also miss the tie alongside long absentees Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw.

Juan Mata who played his last home game at Old Trafford will be eyeing a chance in the attacking midfield role. Marcus Rashford could yet again find his place on the bench after going through a bad patch. Teenaged sensation Anthony Elanga is likely to get a chance in the starting XI.
