Real Madrid Vs Club America Live Football Soccer July 27, 2022

Fernando Ortiz’s side signed five new players ahead of their new season, with the standout addition being Jonathan Rodriguez, who led the line against Tijuana on Saturday. America will relish the chance to take on Real Madrid in a friendly, but they also have an important league game against Leon on August 1, so head coach Ortiz will need to carefully manage the minutes of his players here. Real Madrid boss Ancelotti has confirmed that Karim Benzema will be involved against America, with the striker expected to play the full second half of the clash with the Mexican side.

Real Madrid will try to recover from the friendly El Clasico defeat by Barcelona at the weekend when the Whites face Liga MX club Club America in San Francisco. The Champions League holders were kept off the top scorers table against their La Liga rivals as they failed to score a single shot on target. Karim Benzema was absent from that game but should return against Club America as he is back from a long break. These two sides faced each other in the same city 12 years ago when Real Madrid beat Club America 3-2 in a wild match at Candlestick Park. It was Jose Mourinho’s debut as Real Madrid manager as Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the second half to secure a comeback win.

Club America is in the middle of the Liga MX season, falling to Tijuana in Saturday’s league game. The club could be hampered by the friendlies list as they have narrowly contested both Chelsea and Manchester City in the last 10 days with 2-1 defeats. Real Madrid have one preseason game left after that game in San Francisco, with one game against Juventus at the Rose Bowl on the schedule. Then it’s the season-opening UEFA Super Cup, which sees the Champions League winners take on Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt on 10 August.

In particular, Real Madrid will have Karim Benzema available after the Frenchman returned too late from an extended break to see the field against Barcelona. Benzema should eventually be used with the likes Eden Hazard, Vinicius Jrand Marco Asensio couldn’t find the back of the net in his absence against Barcelona. Aurelien Tshouameni made his Real Madrid debut in Vegas in the first half but could be available again for San Francisco Toni Kroos, Luke Modricand Casemiro will also be pushing for more minutes leading up to next season. They came on as a second-half substitute in the Barcelona game and entered the game at the same time.

Real Madrid has a small hole in the back left, with Ferland Mendy the only natural option, force David Alaba to slip for his performance in the first half against Barcelona. Mendy played the second half in Vegas and should be used there in the future.Henry Martin came off the bench in the weekend’s defeat by Tijuana but was able to start in front after scoring America’s only goal against Man City last week. Guillermo Ochoa is likely to take the field in the net to give fans a chance to see the Mexican star keeper but could be replaced by after half an hour Oscar Jimenez as he did against both Chelsea and Man City.

However, there is unlikely to be a return for Dani Carvajal, with the Spaniard missing out against Barcelona in El Clasico due to an ankle problem that he picked up in training. Ancelotti will make changes to the team that started against Xavi’s side, with Luka Modric, Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Ferland Mendy all in line for starts, but Eden Hazard, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo could continue as the front three. As for America, there could be a change in the final third of the field, with Henry Martin potentially coming in for Rodriguez, with the latter potentially featuring off the bench in the second period.

Real Madrid possible starting lineup:
Courtois; Vazquez, Militao, Rudiger, Mendy; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Rodrygo, Hazard, Vinicius

Club America possible starting lineup:
Ochoa; J Sanchez, Lara, Araujo, Fuentes; R Sanchez, Dos Santos; Zendejas, Valdes, Fidalgo; Martin
